Jennifer Bonaventura was born in Rochester, New York but raised in Dallas, Texas where her family moved at age three. She has been involved in art all of her life. As a child and young adult, she participated in art workshops, community volunteer projects and freelance design work. She won the "Award for Excellence" in art for her graduating class in high school in 1988. Following graduation, she continued on to study fine art in North Dallas. Included in her studies were not only painting, drawing, design, and sculpture, but also graphic design. She worked in the art department of the college where she further learned through specialized workshops and in the art gallery. Throughout her educational experience, Jennifer won several awards for her work and was accepted to show paintings at the First Annual Unions Competition at the University of Texas in 1989. Jennifer currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree in studio art from Florida State University, graduating Cum Laude.

Jennifer went on to work in the art department of a children's television show produced by CBN for the Family Channel painting backdrops, sets, and creating props. Afterward, moving to Phoenix, Arizona, she was hired as an artist's assistant for a fine art studio and studied under artists including Liz Jardine, Richard Hall, and John Douglas Kline. She was promoted to rep portfolio designer and created numerous designs for art representatives in different areas of the country as well as producing original pieces for well known clients including Ethan Allen.

After moving to Colorado in 1995, Jennifer steadily gained recognition for her unique fine art pieces and continued to win awards for her work in both local and national competitions. A mother of two sons, she currently resides in Panama City, Florida. Along with being represented by fine art galleries, she also works with fine art representatives in several states. Her designs are currently published throughout the United States as well as internationally. Some designs are reproduced as fine art tapestries, wall plaques, and even as decorative wall relief sculptures in copper or steel. Jennifer continues to freelance design logos and other projects upon request. She teaches art classes for ages 4 through adult. In addition, she instructs with the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida as well as through community education programs at Gulf Coast Community College. One of the artist's favorite if not more challenging endeavors is creating original murals for both interior and exterior surfaces of all sizes.
